Allyson Felix

Allyson Michel Felix was born on 18 November 1985 in Los Angeles. Paul Felix served as an ordained minister at Sun Valley at Master's Seminary. Marlean Felix taught at Balboa Magnet. Felix displayed an early talent for athletics when she was studying at Los Angeles Baptist High School. Felix discovered her athletic talent at that moment. Following her initial audition and placing among the top two athletes at the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championships, for 200-meter sprint in only 10 weeks. In 2003, Felix graduated from high school signing a professional contract with the athletics company Adidas before enrolling at the University of Southern California where she was studying elementary education. Felix received her first Olympic award at 2004's Summer Olympics in Athens Greece. Felix ran 200m in 22.18s and set the new world junior record. The 2005 Helsinki World Championships saw her becoming the youngest female to take home the 200 meters race. She defended this title and beat her Jamaican opponent Veronica Campbell. Felix competed at Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo and consistently placed within the top three athletes in her respective events.
