Allyson Felix

Allyson Michel Felix was born 18 November 1985 in Los Angeles. Her father Paul Felix is an ordained minister at Master's Seminary, Sun Valley. As for her mother, Marlean Felix is a teacher at Balboa Magnet Primary School. Felix had an early aptitude for sports when she was in high school at Los Angeles Baptist High School. Felix discovered her athletic potential at the time. After just 10 weeks of her initial attempt, she was second in the 200 meters race at the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. Felix finished high school and signed an official contract with Adidas. In 2004 she began her studies at an institution called the University of Southern California, where her major was elementary education. A year later Felix earned her very first Olympic medal at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens Greece setting an all-time junior world record taking 200 metres at 22.18 seconds. At the 2005 Helsinki World Championships, Felix became the youngest winner in the world in running 200m. She won the title in 2007. was able to defend the title against her Jamaican opponent Veronica Campbell. Felix participated at the Olympics during Beijing London Rio de Janeiro and Tokyo always finishing in the top three of her races.
