Beyonce Giselle Knowles was born on
September 4, 1981, in Houston, Texas. Tina Knowles-Lawson, her mom, designs
their sparkling costumes. Mathew Knowles is Destiny's Child's managing
director. Solange as well as her sister (they're 4 years apart) has released

are that are mostly African as well as French. They also have Canadian
ancestral ancestors. Beyonce is 1/32 Irish and has distant Breton and Spanish,
Indonesian and Chinese roots. The singer has been quoted as saying that in
order to overcome her shyness she developed the stage persona
"Sasha".
