Big Time Rush
Big Time Rush is an American pop music
boy group that formed in 2009. The group is comprised of Kendall Schmidt, James
Maslow, Logan Henderson, and Carlos PenaVega. They initially signed with Nick
Records in 2009 before moving to Columbia Records. The group was featured on
Nickelodeon's show on television called Big Time Rush. The show aired from
November 28th from 2009 to July 25, 2013. The pilot episode included "Big
Time Rush" The group's initial promotional single. The group recorded three
albums: BTR in 2010, Elevate 2011 and 24/Seven in 2013. In 2014, the group was
on a hiatus that ran until 2021. They returned to live performances in the
studio, and then came out with "Call It Like It's What It's Like".
Nickelodeon has signed Big Time Rush to an album deal in the year 2009, along
with its tv show, Big Time Rush. Nickelodeon has also teamed up with
Columbia/Epic Label Group for production and original music. Their debut
single, "Big Time Rush", appeared on the series' November 29th 2009.
The song was officially released on Nickelodeon the song first aired in the
U.S. November 2009 and was later broadcast across the world. The show premiered
during a one-hour special preview of the series and it is currently the show's
opening theme. Promotional singles were also released by the show, including
"City is Ours" (with Big Time Rush) and "Any Kind of Guy".
Big Time Rush also covered the Play song "Famous" that was written by
the singer. The song debuted on iTunes on June 29th 2010. Another track,
"Halfway There", was released to iTunes on April 27, 2010 following
its debut on the show. The band quickly made it their first charting track on
the Billboard Hot 100. It was ranked at 93 thanks to digital sales. On
September 21 the 21st of September, 2010 Big Time Rush released second single
"Till I Forget About You", to promote the release of their debut
album. The album, titled BTR and released on October 11 10th, 2010. The album
reached number 3 on the Billboard 200 and sold 67,000 copies within its first
week.
